Upon inspection, observed approximately 14 dead flying insects in the following locations: 1 in kitchen area on the floor, 2 on the floor in dry storage, 2 on the floor behind front counter, 9 in dining room on the floor and window ledge. Manager/employees began cleaning up the dead flying insects during inspection.
Current Hotel and Restaurant license not displayed. Upon inspection, observed current license available expired as of 06/01/26. Manager was able to print current license during inspection.

Handwash sink not accessible for employee use at all times. Upon inspection, observed handwashing sink in rear of establishment blocked by a ladder and cases of products.
No paper towels or mechanical hand drying device provided at handwash sink. Upon inspection, observed no paper towels available at handwashing sink behind ice cream coolers.
Proof of required state approved employee training not available for some employees. To order approved program food safety material, call DBPR contracted provider: Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (SafeStaff) 866-372-7233. Upon inspection, observed only one certificate of training for employees. Three employees a working at establishment have no proof of training.
Dead flying insects present. Upon inspection, observed approximately eight dead flying insects present in dining area of establishment. Also observed approximately ten dead flying insects present in kitchen and dry storage area of establishment.
Food stored on floor. Upon inspection, observed multiple cases of food stored on floor in walk in freezer
Ice buildup in reach-in freezer and/or walk-in freezer. Upon inspection, observed ice buildup in walk in freezer and also ice buildup in both ice cream serving coolers in front of establishment.
In-use utensil for non-time/temperature control for safety food not stored in a clean, protected location. Upon inspection, observed handle of scoop touching powdered sugar in storage container.

Handwash sink not accessible for employee use at all times. Handwash sink by mop sink blocked by boxes. Operator began moving boxes to clear area around sink during inspection.
Soap dispenser at handwash sink not working/unable to dispense soap. Soap dispenser in women's restroom is no longer able to attach to wall. Maintenance has been dispatched to repair. Operator left for store to purchase alternative soap option.
